Recently, we took a glimpse at Audi’s intriguing history. We got to learn about the brand and discuss some of the vehicles that it has produced throughout the years.
Over the next couple of months, we are going to be venturing a little deeper into Audi’s history and its vehicles. We’re going to look at specific models to find out their strengths and weakness and to get an idea of what we can expect from the brand’s cars.
The first vehicle that we are going to look at is the Audi R8. Introduced in 2006, the 2-seater supercar ha recently entered its second generation having sold around 28,600 units up to now.
Although the brand began developing the vehicle in the mid-2004, it wasn’t until 2006 that the car made its official debut at the 2006 Paris Auto Show.
The vehicle changed greatly over the years, however certain elements remained unchanged throughout its production run.
Initially, the vehicle featured a 4.2-litre V8 engine, however over year it became more powerful with the second generation R8 including a 5.2 V10.
If you’re thinking about purchasing you’re very own R8, you might want to reconsider. It’s currently on the market for around £120,000 to £150.000 depending on which version you go for.
Is it worth the money, might ask? Definitely! If you’re after a car that’s reliable, luxurious and powerful, the R8 will definitely meet your needs.
The vehicle is arguably on the most popular Audi vehicles to date, which is something we can’t really argue with.
It’s a fantastic vehicle that took the concept of a sportscar and elevated it to anyther level.
