Today, we are going to take a look at another vehicle produced by Volkswagen. With the popularity of SUV’s constantly growing, we’ve decided to focus on the Volkswagen Touareg. Launched in 2002, the Touareg is about to enter its third generation, which is shaping up to be quite impressive.
What makes the Touareg interesting is the fact that it was developed by Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche.
Launched in 2002, the joint venture between the brands resulted in the four-wheel drive crossover SUV.
The first generation Touareg looked quite sleek and bold. Although it didn’t introduce anything innovative styling-wise, its simple yet bold styling worked very well.
A variety of engines were available to choose from throughout the years, including a 3.2 V6, a 4.2 V8 and a 5.0 V10 TDI upon launch.
After receiving a facelift in 2007, the first generation Touareg remained in production until 2010, when it was replaced by the second generation.
The second generation Touareg went on sale in 2011. It sported an upgraded look, however its aesthetic remained the same for the most part. It came with a large number of features such as Automatic Distance Control, Lane Assist and the Front Assist Collision avoidance system.
The car proved quite popular with customers, eventually receiving a facelift in 2014.
Currently, Volkswagen is preparing to launch the third generation of the Touareg, which is expected to go on sale in 2017. Much isn’t known about the vehicle at the moment, however if it’s anything like the previous generations then we can probably expect something quite intriguing. If you would like to sell you car, you can do that online at : Trusted Car Buyers or search for “we buy any car”. It’s easy way to sell your Volkswagen online and get some extra cash for new model.
Although the Touareg isn’t the best SUV ever produced, it’s a great example of a solid vehicle that’s aesthetically-pleasing and great to handle.
